What Is Microblading?

Updated: Aug 29, 2019

Feeling beautiful is something that we all strive for and each of us takes different means to achieving those feelings. That's why so many of us invest our money into beauty products and procedures. Microblading is one of the more recent procedures that people take advantage of to enhance their natural beauty, and this procedure has gained popularity incredibly quick.

Incredible results and the ease of the procedure make it such a desirable option to take advantage of. For those of you who may not know, microblading might be a procedure that you would benefit from to achieve your ultimate aesthetic. In today's blog, our team is going to talk about the microblading procedure. If this is something that you think you would be interested in, contact iBrows Studio to schedule your consultation.

What is microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent treatment that fills the eyebrows. There are so many products that provide the fuller look so many of us hope to achieve, but they wash away in an instant. One of the other issues is that these products can make it difficult to create a look where both eyebrows match and look great together.

So, whether you're heading to the pool, you simply want to be prepared in case of a rainy day, or you’re looking for eyebrows with a more finished and professional look, finding a treatment that provides you with longer-lasting results is a must! This is probably the reason that so many people love the idea of my long lasting results that also looks great. It’s also why microblading is so incredibly popular. So, now that we’ve covered what microblading is, let's talk a little bit more about what the procedure looks like.

Microblading Treatment

The microblading procedure varies in regards to how long it takes. The one thing that remains consistent is that this procedure is incredibly easy and virtually painless. Ultimately, this procedure uses a tattoo like treatment to provide the illusion of fuller brows. Depending on how full of a look you're hoping to achieve, the procedure will vary in time. So, if you're wanting brows that look extremely full and you don't currently have that, your procedure may be on the longer side. If you are simply looking to fill them in just a touch, it will be a drastically shorter procedure to achieve the look you want.

What to Expect Afterwards

The microblading procedure is incredibly quick and easy, but the thing that most people are concerned about is the aftermath. The good news is, the microblading process leaves little signs of the procedure after the fact. Given that it is similar to the tattooing process, you can anticipate some redness after the fact. The results that you leave with are also going to be extremely more sharp and bold than they will be after a few days. It’s important to note that this is normal for the healing process and the color will fade roughly 40 percent over the following days and weeks. The end results of the procedure are going to be so much more natural looking.

Aside from the drastic change in shape and color, you should be prepared to properly care for your freshly microbladed eyebrows. Do not pick at any scabs that you see after the procedure, because that will affect the healing process. Otherwise — the rest of the process is as easy as could be.
